Kathmandu: The Nepal Stock Exchange index increased by 17.51 points to close at 1,316.80 points on Wednesday. The sub-indices of all groups except finance grew significantly.
The sub-indices of insurance and manufacturing group grew by 214.71 points and 30.09 points to stand at 5,787.13 points and 2,168.02 points respectively.
Likewise, the sub-indices of hotel, development bank and commercial bank group went up by 26.98 points, 15.31 points and 13.52 points to close at 1,653.42 points, 1,444.87 points and 1,255.22 points respectively.
Similarly, sub-indices of other and hydropower group posted a marginal growth of 4.62 points and 2.79 points to close at 659.13 points and 1,539.28 points respectively.
However, the sub-indices of finance declined by 0.65 points to close at 603.44 points.
The NEPSE registered transaction with 135 companies making the turnover around of Rs. 320 million with a total of 650,014 shares through 3,736 transactions.
The sensitive index which measures the index of group "A companies" also increased by 3.86 points to close at 285.71 points on Wednesday.
